Other areas to explore: Javea is made up of three areas, the Arenal with its beautiful sandy beach, bars and restaurants. During the summer evenings the Arenal is busy with crafts stalls, artists and musicians. The port area with its fish market and promenade and the old town with its narrow streets, shops, historic buildings. There is a colourful market every Thursday morning. 10k from Javea is the town and port of Denia with daily crossings to the Balearic islands. Denia boasts miles of sandy beaches with its tree lined streets, pavement cafes, bars and restaurants. The resort of Benidorm is only a 30 minutes drive away and close by is Terra Mitica, which is one of Europe's largest theme parks. Visit Aqualandia a themed water park and next door Mundomar with its dolphins, seals and parrots. A drive to Guadalest is a must with its quaint shops, narrow cobbled winding streets and spectacular views from the village square.
Javea Town: Javea lies between pine-covered Cabo De La Nao to the South and Cabo De San Antonio to the North. The town is ideal for a family holiday, especially in the Spring when the area is ablaze with blossom from the almonds and the scents of orange and lemon trees fill the air. The World Health Organisation has proclaimed Javea to be ‘environmentally near perfect’ and you can bask in the Costa Blanca’s brightest sunshine here on about 320 days of the year. Javea town nestles at the foot of 2,500 feet Mount Montgo, a designated nature reserve. It boasts a 16th century church, covered market and for the historically minded a museum housing a nationally important collection of rare Iberian finds from Montgo. After exploring the town’s fascinating narrow streets you can make your way to the old fishing port about 1 mile away. To the south of the old town lies the Arenal beach, a broad crescent of fine golden sand backed by a promenade of shops and restaurants.
La Guardia/Cabo De La Nao areas: Be sure to stop at the ‘Miradors’ (viewing points), several of which are located within a few minutes drive of Casa Mallandos. Without exception, they offer stunning views from cliff top perches of rocky coves and crystal clear water. This is snorkelling territory at its best, reminiscent of Cornwall but with guaranteed good weather! From Cabo De La Nao, it is possible on a clear day to see all the way to Ibiza 100 kms away. Also close by is the idyllic bay of La Granadella, so picturesque that it is often featured on Javea’s postcards.

We had 9 wonderful days in Spain and couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family activities — enjoying the sun, swimming, and exploring the nearby towns!Niel gave us a warm welcome and even asked what kind of welcome package we’d like upon arrival, as we were traveling with three children. Communication was excellent throughout our stay, and check-out was just as smooth — Niel was there to wish us a pleasant journey home. The accommodation was truly lovely and great value for money. We’re super happy with our stay and hope to return to both Niel & Jackie, as well as this fantastic area!/Stefan & Gunhild with family
Just back from a very enjoyable two weeks at Los Arcos. Villa spacious and immaculately clean and well equipped. Arriving late after shops had shut it was great to find welcome pack including wine etc and everything needed for breakfast. Excellent outdoor area with fabulous pool.
Thanks for the review and looking after Los Arcos so well for us. We hope to see you again soon.
Had a great holiday, owners are very very nice people and nothing was too much trouble, villa was well apportioned, very good location, proximity to the shops and restaurants were perfect, only 10 minutes from a beautiful beach and the marina.
Thanks for the review and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Fantastic villa with amazing outside area with pool and bar. We were a party of 8 and there was ample room for all of us. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Great views to. We would recommend to others and would book again.
Thanks for looking after Los Arcos and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.
This is a great villa to stay at, first rate facilities and a great location for Javea and exploring the wider area. The villa has generously sized rooms so it never feels cramped. The outside area is excellent with a gorgeous pool. Neil and Jackie are brilliant hosts, very welcoming and available to help if needed. Prompt replies throughout the booking process and so accommodating when we had to postpone our trip for a year.
Recently returned from a 10 night stay at Los Arcos and all the family had a fantastic time. The villa was perfect and exactly what we were looking for in these restricted times. Neil and Jackie were there to greet us, were on hand throughout the holiday for recommendations and we started our holiday with their very own welcome pack. The outside space at Los Arcos is lovely and the pool is a more than big enough for a family with teenage children. Absolutely loved our stay.
We had an amazing two week holiday at Los Arcos. We were two families of 2 adults and 2 children each. The property was as described and the outside space, with plenty of shade and room to eat and cook outside, was brilliant. The pool was large enough for kids to swim and play with floats and room around the pool for sun loungers. We had very hot weather during our stay and the upstairs room did get a little warm at night, so air conditioning would have been useful in this room. The other bedrooms were lovely and cool. The check in process was very easy, we were able to check in earlier on arrival as the hosts made every effort to get the villa ready for us which was very welcome as we'd had an early flight from the UK. We had a very friendly welcome and they provided us with some recommendations for restaurants and beaches nearby. Neil was available by phone to sort out a couple of small queries and visited the property a couple of times to check we were all okay. Great villa and we would thoroughly recommend it to large families or two families. The setting was beautiful and peaceful. A car was essential to visit local supermarkets and towns of Javea and Moraira.
Just returned from a week at Los Arcos. We arrived late in the evening, but were met & made very welcome by Neil, the owner, at the villa. He even provided a very welcome ‘welcome pack’. What a great start. Totally unexpected but just what was needed. Neil was on hand throughout the week, no issues with the villa, he provided golf clubs for a quick round at the club near The Marriott Hotel. The kitchen was stocked with some basics, always useful. Nice to have enough toilet rolls, washing up tabs etc, you don’t mind leaving your own surplus when it’s relaxed.... The location is ideal to explore rural & far less touristy Spain, Javea & Dernia a short drive, with lots of local restaurants. We will certainly return, still so much to see.
